6-Day Tanzania Ndutu Migration December to April

Day 1: Arrival Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. This day is dedicated to relaxation and preparation for your safari adventure. You can unwind after your journey and take in the surroundings of Arusha, known as the gateway to the northern safari circuit of Tanzania.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park After a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park. This scenic park is famous for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from lush forests to open grasslands and the alkaline Lake Manyara itself. During our game drive, we’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and the iconic tree-climbing lions. We’ll spend the night at a lodge or campsite near Lake Manyara, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of the African wilderness.

Day 3-4: Ndutu (Southern Serengeti) Our next destination is Ndutu, situated in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. From December to April, this region comes alive with the Great Migration, as hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and other ungulates gather to graze on the nutrient-rich grasslands. We’ll spend two days exploring Ndutu and witnessing this spectacular natural phenomenon. Along the way, we’ll have the chance to encounter predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, as they prey on the abundant wildlife. Our accommodations will be at a luxury tented camp in Ndutu, offering comfort and serenity amidst the African wilderness.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Leaving Ndutu behind, we’ll make our way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. Descending into the crater floor, we’ll be greeted by a breathtaking landscape teeming with wildlife. This natural amphitheater is home to a high concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, hippos, and rhinos. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the stunning scenery of the crater before continuing our game drive. Our overnight accommodations will be at a lodge or campsite on the crater rim, offering panoramic views of the crater below.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park On our final day of safari, we’ll journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population and ancient baobab trees. During our game drive, we’ll explore the park’s diverse habitats, including the Tarangire River and its surrounding floodplains, where animals gather in large numbers during the dry season. We’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, from elephants and giraffes to lions and leopards. After a picnic lunch within the park, we’ll conclude our safari adventure and return to Arusha or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
